Cuz i Matter Animal Rescue often takes in difficult cases of animals needing special care.  This includes cases of malnutrition, animals with skin conditions, heartworms, in need of surgery, and even behavior issues resulting from abuse.
With the help of our sponsors, we are able to help these babies get healthy, socialized, and ready to find their happy, loving forever home.
We would like to send a big shout out to the our supporters because it is their generosity that makes it possible for us to save these souls.

Cuz I Matter Animal Rescue is honored to receive a $500 grant from the Petfinder Foundation to assist in our Hurricane Harvey efforts. As part of the evacuation of several shelters in the path of Harvey we took in 8 dogs from those shelters.

To help free up space for Harvey dogs in one of our local shelters, we took in another 5 dogs. Additionally we took in 2 sick owner surrender dogs from someone that was impacted by Harvey and was no longer able to care for these dogs.

Of the 15 dogs that we rescued, 4 of the dogs tested positive for heartworms and the two sick dogs were diagnosed and treated for parvo. The funds from this grant will be used towards the cost of the heartworm treatments.

The
Petfinder Foundation is helping many organizations in their recovery efforts from these devastating storms and we are truly grateful that they have chosen to help Cuz I Matter. These funds will go a long way to getting these dogs healthy and ready for their new forever homes.

Big Paw High Five thank you from all of us at Cuz I Matter!

THANKS the Keely Joseph Memorial Fund for awarding us $500 to help with the heartworm treatment for our sweet Boxer, Chance. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and paws!!

Keely Joseph Memorial Fund: On May 10, 2016, the Austin Community and animals lost a dear friend, Keely Joseph. Keely was a passionate advocate for all animals in need, a foster caregiver to many and a long-time volunteer and Board Member of Austin Dog Rescue. Keely inspired many of us with her unwavering support, wisdom, and kindness. Keely was a light in the darkness. In memory of her lifelong love and commitment to animals, Austin Dog Rescue has set up the Keely Joseph Memorial Fund.

We are honored in April 2017, to have received from Petco Foundation, a $1500 grant to help extend our efforts and serve the Petco Foundation’s mission to raise the quality of life for pets and people who love and need them.   This money will be used for the Medical Needs of our adoptable animals to get them ready for adoption.
